Corsaro Aperitivo Alcohol-Free is basically the answer for anyone who likes the idea of the classic Italian pre-dinner drink but doesn’t really want the alcohol that usually comes with it. The first thing you notice is that it leans way closer to Campari than to the sweeter, mild alcohol-free alternatives. It has that same bitter-herbal thing going on, a bit of citrus peel, and the familiar reddish colour that almost automatically makes you think of spritzes on a terrace somewhere warm.

Because of that Campari-like bitterness, it actually works really well in non-alcoholic versions of drinks people usually struggle to imitate. You can make a pretty convincing spritz, pairing it with a non-alcoholic bubbly like Zonin Cuvée Zero 0.0%, or even a zero-alcohol Negroni-style drink if you mix it right. Honestly, even just pouring it over ice with some soda water and an orange slice gets you surprisingly close to the real aperitivo feeling.

It’s a good fit for anyone who wants the proper taste experience without the alcohol — something more grown-up and bitter rather than syrupy. If you’re doing Dry Whenever or just want a drink that won’t slow you down the next morning, Corsaro does a solid job of giving you the flavour without the side effects.

If you’re trying to make a spritz that still tastes like a spritz but doesn’t have alcohol in it, Corsaro is honestly one of the easiest swaps for Campari. It has that same bitter edge, so you don’t have to overthink the recipe.

Just fill a glass with ice, pour in a decent splash of Corsaro, top it with alcohol-free bubbly like Zonin Cuvée Zero 0.0% or, say, Fever-Tree Elderflower Tonic, and add a bit of soda water. An orange slice on top makes it look the part. The result is surprisingly close to the classic version — bright, slightly bitter, refreshing, and very “Italian summer” even if you’re drinking it in your Estonian kitchen on a Tuesday.
