The story of Flor de Caña began in 1890, when Alfredo Francisco Pellas Canessa, a young explorer from Italy, risked everything to travel to exotic Nicaragua. There he found the perfect place for the Flor de Caña distillery, at the foot of San Cristóbal Volcano, the tallest and most active volcano in Nicaragua. Flor de Caña rum 12yo is a premium aged rum that ages for 12 years, offering delicious notes of wood, vanilla and baked apples, with a smooth and well-balanced aftertaste.

On the nose it has aromas of caramel, nuts, vanilla, cinnamon and some fruit. In the mouth it has balanced flavours of wood, vanilla, baked apples, butter, hazelnuts while its finish is candy.
