Stewart Hunter Laing’s father Frederick founded his whisky blending business in Glasgow in 1949. 1964 Stewart Hunter Laing joined in on the family business, kickstarting his career in the whiskey industry. Hunter Laing & Co was founded in 2013, after Frederick’s sons, Stewart Hunter and Fred, parted ways.
