Karukera Rum Vieux Agricole “Ex-Fut de Cognac”
59.50 €
Price per litre:
Karukera “Vieux Agricole” is a prestigious rum crafted by Guadeloupe’s oldest distillery, Marquisat de Sainte Marie, founded in 1895. Made exclusively from natural sugarcane juice, it carries the “Agricole” distinction. The name “Karukera” reflects the island’s original name, meaning “island of beautiful waters.”
Like for all his old rums, Karukera‘s Maître de Chai doesn’t add any artificial color or flavor, preferring to let the terroir’s expression be naturally brought out in carefully-selected quality barrels.
This rum has been aged for more than four years in former 350-liter Cognac barrels.
It features a powerful and broad nose with a bouquet of vanilla and roasted coffee, enhanced by cacao hints. Its mouth is strong and rich, evocative of dark chocolate followed by sweet and powdered spices.
