These two go together really well, as Christmas Pudding is still, by far, the most popular Christmas dessert out there. The origins of Christmas Pudding go back to medieval times when references of ‘Plum Pottage’ were found, which was made of a meat, vegetable and fruit stew cooked in terra cotta pots. The production method is a lot more modern nowadays, with all the ingredients mixed together and sealed air-tight in a mold and being steamed for multiple hours in hot water. This method makes sure all of the moist ingredients contain their moist during steaming resulting in a delicious, lightly moist and rich tasting dessert to round up a lovely Christmas dinner!
