Talisker has been an integral part of island life since 1830. It’s in this land of extremes that our small distillery stands proudly by the sea, enduring the ever-changing elements that have shaped our whisky for almost 200 years.
Aroma: Rich and fruity Victoria plums, greengages, perhaps dried orange peel with some butterscotch or rum toffee and a thread of smoke behind.
Taste: Sweet in front, then more assertive, with a whiff of smoke. The overall effect is warming. The development is towards smoke, coal-tar, and toffee. Intense layers of fruitiness and peat.
Finish: Medium length and chilli ‘catch’ in the finish.
