The Macallan Rare Cask Black is born from an extraordinary discovery. Exceptionally rare casks, hand-selected by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team for their remarkable character. Resting for years in the dark, tranquil warehouses of The Macallan Estate, these casks reveal an intense sweet raisin richness and a sumptuous, velvety texture.

Matured in a combination of American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks, the whisky gains its delicate yet distinctive peat smoke from precious, aged stocks of peated spirit. Rare Cask Black is an unexpected interpretation of The Macallan style—smoky, complex, and deeply indulgent.

Its colour is a deep burnished amber. On the nose, it offers aromas of dried fruits, nutmeg, and oak. The palate reveals luscious notes of dates, figs, raisins, and a gentle smokiness. The finish is long and fruity, leaving a refined whisper of wood smoke lingering on the senses.
